Productivity Provides Purpose

In the afternoon all the residents are expected to participate in the work activities assigned to them. Most of our work projects are done at the Shepherd’s Fold shop and center around two main projects: building storage sheds and producing lath for agriculture ceiling systems. Listed below are some of the benefits of having work projects.

  1. Teaches men important job skills that will aid them throughout life.
  2. Teaches men to work together in harmony, preparing them for future jobs.
  3. Provides a structured and stable work environment on our premises.
  4. Provides a large percentage of funding for our normal operating expenses.

The sheds that are built at Shepherds Fold are sold at Jono Hardware. Your purchase of a shed helps provide funds to keep the program operating.

I am blessed by the quietness and restful atmosphere provided. I am blessed by the structure yet relaxed schedule and discipline. I am blessed by the interaction with the other residents in sharing life and building friendships. I am blessed by the mutual input of each other in ways that build character. I am blessed by a staff that is understanding and positive in their teaching and counseling. I am blessed by a place to work together to sand off rough edges and sharpen relationship skills that make life mutually beneficial. I am blessed by constant study of the word that helps us see ourselves in the light of truth. I am blessed by classes that help us articulate our failures and weaknesses in a way that encourages growth and victory. I am blessed by the constant reminder that God is a Father who wants to be close to me personally and meet all of my needs. I am blessed to be here!
