Productivity Provides Purpose

In the afternoon all the residents are expected to par­ticipate in the work activities assigned to them. Most of our work projects are done at the Shepherd’s Fold shop and center around two main projects: building storage sheds and produc­ing lath for agriculture ceiling systems. Listed below are some of the benefits of having work projects.

  1. Teaches men important job skills that will aid them throughout life.
  2. Teaches men to work together in harmony, preparing them for future jobs.
  3. Provides a structured and stable work environment on our premises.
  4. Provides a large percentage of funding for our normal operating expenses.

The sheds that are built at Shepherds Fold are sold at Jono Hardware. Your purchase of a shed helps provide funds to keep the program operating.

Christian Greetings, after farming for most of my life, putting shingles on storage barns was different at first, as the shop foremen give instructions and show their appreciation to me it has been a good experience working in the shop, it is interesting to see how so many different people can come together and learn to work together in harmony. Working together in this way will produce long term memories.
